What is itSaratoga BITUMÌ waterproofs, seals, fills, plugs, covers and protects. BITUMÌ is a spray bitumen rubber-based sheath ideal for waterproofing and sealing on: roofs, fibre cement sheets, terraces, roof tiles, Canadian tiles, guttering, chimneys, skylights, water collection tanks, flashings, walls, drains, cracks in walls, vents, frames, for painting and protecting flower boxes, fountains, vases, protecting surfaces immersed in water, poles, jetties and moorings. Ideal for all surfaces, it is particularly suitable for: wood, metal sheets, aluminium, steel, cement and bitumen; it adheres and protects without the need to use a brush or roller. It allows to encapsulate and consolidate damaged surfaces of concrete roofs, to fix and cover damaged or detached coverings, to occlude holes and chips also in a definitive way. It covers and protects surfaces without damaging them. It has a long-lasting protective action; if it is used periodically at least twice a year (and in any case as soon as the surface begins to deteriorate), its protective power is increased.Application method and instructionsMake sure that the surfaces to be treated are clean, dry and free of grease. Shake the can well before use. Cover with adhesive tape the areas that must remain protected. Spray uniformly on the parts to be treated and on adjacent surfaces, spraying from a distance of about 20-30 cm. To fill and waterproof areas with important gaps, proceed with successive coats (at a minimum distance of 8 hours so that the previous coat is completely dry), until a uniform covering sheath has been created, which cancels the gaps between the various materials. If the gaps are very large (>0.5 cm), fill the cavity with a material such as string, fabric, paper or cardboard before proceeding. On any surface, apply at least 2 coats of product. Can be recoated once dry. To allow reuse of the can, once used turn it upside down and press lightly on the nozzle to clean it. Application temperature +5° / +40°C. Drying time: 10-20 minutes at touch depending on humidity and temperature, 2-8 hours in depth (complete drying). Recoatable after complete drying.
